The St. Wendeler loop of the Saarland circuit with a total length of 25,5 km starts at the Wendelinus basilica in the city center,  and  leads through Baltersweiler, Grügelborn, Oberkirchen, Hoof back to St. Wendel

St. Wendel offers ideal conditions for all hiking amateurs with its wooded, hilly landscape in the middle of the natural park Saar-Hunsrück, offering many cultural and natural landmarks. The municipality has installed 8 hiking trails equipped with indication signs, covering the entire region, the villages and landscape. Discover Remmesweiler, one of the most beautiful villages in the Saarland, calm natural resorts with rare animals and plants, old, gigantic trees, the road of the sculptures, multicoloured meadows covered with fruit trees, spectacular points of view over the St. Wendel countryside and the Wendelinus recreation center with the hiking circuit illuminated at night, its skating installation and the huge golf course.

The eventful tours have a length of 12 - 18 km. The hiking trails are equipped with blue/yellow signs showing the number of the respective tour. All tours start at a parking place where you can leave your car.
